MIAMI – With the Miami Heat about to open training camp next week and with the status of Chris Bosh still unclear, former teammate Shane Battier said the situation is "tough to watch."

Battier made the comments Thursday night at Ball in Chain in Little Havana during his annual Battioke charity event.

WPLG asked Battier if he's ever seen a situation like the one Bosh and the Heat are involved in and Battier responded, "it's tough.

I love Chris, he's a good buddy of mine.

I love the guys at the Heat as well.

Its like watching two friends have a disagreement.

This boils down to a legal issue.

Unfortunately you have to get the lawyers involved to sort out what is exactly laid out in the collective bargaining agreement.

It will all get sorted out, but it's tough to watch right now."

Heat team president Pat Riley and head coach Erik Spoelstra both attended Thursday's event, but neither was made available to the media to speak about Bosh.
