Dolphins sign Palm Beach Gardens native, ex-Auburn star Avery Young

Miami waives Daniel Davie

DAVIE, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins have signed offensive tackle Avery Young and waived cornerback Daniel Davie.

Miami announced the moves Wednesday.

Young, who went undrafted out of Auburn in 2016, grew up in South Florida and played football at Palm Beach Gardens Community High School. He spent the 2016 season on the reserve/non-football injury list with the New Orleans Saints.

The offensive lineman started all but one of the 37 games he played at Auburn, earning third-team All-Southeastern Conference honors as a senior in 2015.

Davie hasn't played a game in the NFL. The four-year starter at Nebraska spent time with the Indianapolis Colts and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted college free agent.
