Dolphins cut day - Fins release multiple offensive linemen

Dallas Thomas, Billy Turner among cuts

DAVIE, Fla. – The (1-4) Miami Dolphins turned Tuesday into cut day by officially releasing two offensive lineman, Dallas Thomas and Billy Turner, and running back Isaiah Pead.

Multiple reports say the Fins also cut a third offensive lineman - Jamil Douglas.

Thomas and Turner were both emergency starters this past Sunday against the Titans because Branden Albert (virus) and Laremy Tunsil (ankle) couldn't play.

Quarterback Ryan Tannehill was sacked six times and was hit repeatedly in the loss to the Titans.

It seems rookie coach Adam Gase decided he had seen enough and decided on shaking things up on Tuesday, just a few days after declaring that Tannehill would remain the starter the rest of the season.

The Fins also officially announced the signings of tackle Sam Young and cornerback Chimdi Chekwa.
