He talked about Ryan Tannehill'sĀ recovery from a season-ending knee injury.

Gase said that Tannehill tried on several knee braces.

During the week of the Steelers playoff game, Gase said that Tannehill worked a few reps with the scout team.

The Dolphins were trying to see just how far along Tannehill's recovery was progressing.

The quarterback was trying to convince the team to let him play.

Gase said, "When you're starting quarterback is basically saying 'I can go' and I don't know if you've ever seen Ryan get mad, he's very persuasive. Ā I know he comes across as very mild-mannered, but there's a side to him, there's a competitive side to him, that not a lot of people get to see."

Tannehill continues his recovery.

NFL rules limit how much Gase is able to watch Tannehill's workouts, but Gase said he is looking forward to observing Tannehill's progress during the team's offseason work.
