Grass installed at Dolphins renovated stadium

Team expects stadium to be ready for Sept. 1 preseason game

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – No matter what's been added to the renovated stadium where the Miami Dolphins will once again play, there's one thing the team cannot live without...

A playing surface.

Worry no more Dol-fans because as of Tuesday, the grass has arrived.

Sky 10 flew overhead as crews were laying down the natural grass turf.

Dolphins President & CEO Tom Garfinkel tweeted out a picture of the green carpet with the caption "Well, that's exciting."

Barring any construction setbacks or weather delays, the stadium is expected to be ready for the Dolphins final preseason game on Sept. 1 vs. Tennessee.
