Police looking for owner of Dolphins 'Perfect Season' helmet

Helmet found during search of burglary suspect's home

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – The Boynton Beach Police Department is attempting to reconnect a piece of South Florida sports history with its rightful owner.

During a 2013 search of a burglary suspect's home, police found a Miami Dolphins helmet signed by 7 members of the franchise's 1972 "Perfect Season" team.

The helmet is signed by Hall of Famers Don Shula, Larry Csonka, Jim Langer and Larry Little.  

Mercury Morris, Jim Kiick and Garo Yepremian also signed the helmet.

You will be required to show proof of ownership to claim the helmet.
