Report: Tannehill to avoid knee surgery

Dolphins QC suffered knee injury vs. Cardinals on Dec. 11

DAVIE, Fla. – Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill will reportedly escape having reconstruction surgery on his injured knee.

However, NFL Network reports Tannehill, who partially tore his ACL and sprained his MCL vs. Arizona in December, is still working through the injury.

The report says Tannehill is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Monday.

Renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews performed a healing procedure on Tannehill a few weeks ago.

NFL Network says the MCL is giving Tannehill more trouble than the ACL.

The report claims Tannehill may travel to Germany to undergo a procedure called Regenokine. In that procedure, a patient's blood is removed, spun into separate platelets, and re-injected into the knee.
