Dragic to re-sign with Heat

New deal reportedly worth $90 million over five years

MAIMI ā€“ The Miami Heat wasted little time in throwing piles of money at free agents.

Just hours into the NBA's free agency signing period, the Heat have come to an agreement with point guard Goran Dragic on a five-year, $90 million deal.

Dragic cannot officially sign the deal until the end of the NBA's Moratorium Period on July 8.

Resigning Dragic was one of the team's top priorities heading into the offseason.

The Heat acquired the 7-year NBA veteran in trade deadline deal with the Phoenix Suns in February.

In 26 games with the Heat, Dragic averaged 16.6 points and 5.3 assists per game.

Miami will now turn its attention to coming to terms with Dwyane Wade. The Heat icon declared for free agency and is said to be looking for a new three-year deal worth at least $16 million dollars.

Reports said that Wade met with team owner Micky Arison on Tuesday.
