MIAMI -

The Logan Morrison era in South Florida has come to an end.

Multiple reports say the Miami Marlins have traded the popular first baseman to Seattle in exchange for right-handed pitcher Carter Capps.

Morrison had been reported to be on the trading block for a few weeks. Talks intensified once the Marlins signed free agent first baseman Garrett Jones earlier this week.

Last season with the Mariners, Capps went 3-3 in 53 appearances with a 5.49 ERA.

Though injury prone, Morrison was a fan favorite for his outspoken and playful personality.
