Is everyone sure the Miami Dolphins actually won yesterday?
Following the team's season-opening victory over the Browns, it seems like all anyone can talk about has been receiver Mike Wallace's less-than-joyful post-game celebration and defensive tackle Randy Starks' "one finger salute."
Cameras broadcasting Sunday's game caught Starks flipping the bird towards the Dolphins sideline after his fourth quarter sack of Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden.
While Starks didn't talk about the gesture following the game, it's thought that the finger was aimed at Dolphins coaches who failed to name him as a starter after sitting out offseason workouts.
Starks was dissatisfied with not receiving a new multi-year deal with the team despite being named to two Pro Bowls. Starks eventually signed a one-year tender offer worth $8.45 million.
Speaking with the media on Monday, head coach Joe Philbin said with a smirk, "I don't think it was directed at me."
Coming off the bench vs. Cleveland, Starks finished with 1.5 sacks and 3 tackles.
