DAVIE, Fla. – The Dolphins defense is more talented than the best defense in the league.
That's the evaluation of someone who should know: Ndamukong Suh, who played on last year's Detroit Lions defense, which finished as the top overall unit in the NFL.

Suh said before practice Wednesday that this Dolphins defense is even more talented than that one. Of course, talent is one thing, but making it translate to results is far more important. The Dolphins will try to take another step toward that as they get ready for Saturday's dress rehearsal preseason game against Atlanta.
Also on Wednesday, Mike Pouncey raved about how good Branden Albert looked in his work in Tuesdays practice. The tackle has made huge strides in his recovery from last season's devastating knee injury and, barring any setbacks, looks on track to start week one against the Redskins.
Finally, first-round pick DeVante Parker was in pads and catching passes running through pre-practice warm-ups Wednesday. That was the only portion of practice he participated in that the media were allowed to see, but it's a great step forward as the wide receiver returns from foot surgery.
