Tannehill, Dolphins dominate Chargers 37-0

Miami pounces on San Diego early, often

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. ā€“ The Miami Dolphins have a three-game winning streak after dominating the San Diego Chargers 37-0 on Sunday.

The Dolphins first drive from scrimmage resulted in a touchdown.

Ryan Tannehill hit Charles Clay on a 6-yard strike.

In the second quarter, the Dolphins ground game made an impact.

Lamar Miller ran in from 2-yards out to give the Dolphins a 14-0 lead.

The Dolphins added a pair of Caleb Sturgis field goals before the half.

The Dolphins dominance continued into the second half.

Tannehill rolled out of the pocket and hit Rishard Matthews on the run.

Matthews scored a 21-yard touchdown to give Miami a 27-0 lead.

The Dolphins defense was dominant.

Brent Grimes picked off a pair of Phillip Rivers passes.

Reshad Jones had an interception as well.

Late in the third quarter, Olivier Vernon sacked and stripped Rivers.

It was San Diego's fourth turnover on the game.

Tannehill made the Chargers pay.

He hit Jarvis Landry for a touchdown.

Landry's catch was originally called out of bounds.

But after a Joe Philbin challenge, Tannehill had his third touchdown of the day and the Dolphins had a 37-0 lead.

Tannehill finished 24/34 for 288 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Miami is now 5-3.

They head to Detroit next Sunday to take on the Lions.
