DORAL, Fla. -

Donald Trump's helicopter was shuttling back and forth throughout the day Wednesday, but no doubt the Donald was happy his No. 1 player and gallery draw Tiger Woods made it to the tournament, despite dropping out of the Honda Classic with a bad back last week.

A couple from Iowa came to Doral specifically to see Woods and they said their heart skipped a beat when he got hurt last week, but now they are on a mission that is clearly printed on their T-shirts.

"We are happy he is here and we are going to follow him for four days," said Anne Schrunk, who came from Iowa to see Woods.

"Have you managed to get close enough to get a selfie?" asked Local 10's Todd Tongen.

"No, he wants the real one," said Schrunk. "He wants Tiger to be right here."

The Blue Monster has been completely re-done. Woods has had great success here in the past but realizes this is a whole new course.

Woods did not drive any balls off the tee, only pitching and putting, and fans think that is a good sign he is allowing his back to heal.

"I don't know if that's why he is not hitting his driver," said Joe Jenkins, a Woods fan. "I hope he rests up well."

Woods is in Doral, the course is ready and many said he will have to have his A-game ready for Trump National Doral.

"It looks fantastic. I have walked just a little of the front nine, and the course is beautiful and it is much more difficult," said Rick Heard, a member of the Professional Golfers' Association of America.

Tiger Woods did a walk-through Wednesday before the start of the World Golf Championship Thursday at Doral. Before Tiger hit the links, Local 10 caught up with him at the new “Tiger Woods Villa,” presented to him by Donald Trump and family. Woods was also given a key to Doral. Woods chose not to actually play a practice round, rather he walked the front nine to check his yardages, as the golf course has been totally redesigned from last year. Local 10 was there every step of the way.
