Miami Heat forward Udonis Haslem hasn't seen a basketball court since the NBA Finals, but Thursday his skills were challenged at the Town Center Mall in Boca Raton.
Hundreds of Heat fans came to the opening of the Microsoft pop-up store at the mall for a chance to meet Haslem and play against him in Xbox Kinect.
“I’m a little nervous but I’m a fast learner and I’m highly competitive,” said Haslem.
The Kinect game was a basketball shot simulator and Haslem showed the same form while playing video games as he does during NBA play.
“I haven’t sweat this much all summer,” he said.
Shortly after winning his third NBA title, Haslem underwent minor knee surgery and has been rehabbing since. On Thursday, he said he’d be ready once the preseason starts.
