Video shows former Dolphins FB Rob Konrad arrive on shore after hours in ocean

Former second-round draft pick knocked off boat in Atlantic Ocean

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. ā€“ New video from Palm Beach police shows the moments after former Miami Dolphins fullback Rob Konrad came to shore following a boating accident.

The former second-round draft pick said he was about 10 miles out in the Atlantic Ocean when "an unusually large wave" knocked him off his boat, which was on autopilot and headed in the direction of the Bahamas.

In the video, Konrad is seen draped in a large towel and speaking to an officer outside of a home where he came to shore. The video then appears to show Konrad in the back of a police cruiser speaking to another officer:

Officer: How far out were you?
Konrad: About, about 10 miles.
Officer: You were about 10 miles out when you fell off?
Konrad: Yeah. I've been swimming since 1 o'clock.
Officer: One o'clock in the afternoon?
Konrad: What time is it right now?
Officer: It's almost 5 in the morning.
Konrad: Shut the f--- up.

Along the way, Konrad said he was bitten by jellyfish and was circled by a shark as the sun began to set.

Konrad finally made it to Palm Beach about 4:30 a.m. Thursday after spending hours in the water and traveling 27 nautical miles.

Konrad is heard in the video asking the officer if he had a cellphone. The officer called Konrad's mother.

"Could you ask her to call my wife and tell her I'm OK?" Conrad asked the officer.

An investigation into the incident corroborates Konrad's account.
