Yvonne Nava

Yvonne Nava joined Local 10 news in March of 2005 as a general assignment reporter. She began her career at KACB in San Angelo, Texas.

After just a year of reporting Yvonne became the station's main anchor.

Yvonne then went on to KCBD in Lubbock, Texas where she anchored the weekend evening news and then onto WATE in Knoxville, where she helped launch the stations weekend morning newscast. In addition to anchoring weekend mornings, she reported during the week.

Among her most memorable stories, Yvonne traveled to rural Mexico where she discovered contaminated vegetables were the cause of a hepatitis-A outbreak in east Tennessee. She also covered the capture of Eric Rudolph in North Carolina -- the man responsible for the Olympic Park bombings in Atlanta.

Born and raised in Laredo, Texas, Yvonne graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with degrees in broadcast journalism and business.

You can usually catch Yvonne on the Local 10 morning news during the week. When not working, Yvonne loves spending her free time with her husband. She also enjoys traveling, dancing and baking.
