National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. There will be food, entertainment, prizes and information booths.

Zimmerman Advertising Job Fair

The Zimmerman Advertising Job Fair is tailored for professionals with a degree in marketing, advertising or business.

Friday, Aug. 14

Hispanic Women of Distinction Awards

Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This event honors Hispanic women who've made significant contributions to their community. It features the awards ceremony, a cocktail hour, fashion show and entertainment.

Cost: $80 per person

Time: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

This is a live worship and book-signing event featuring first time author Karen L. Bromfield. Refreshments will be served.

School Supply Giveaway
New Macedonia Baptist Church

West Park, FL

Time: 2 p.m.

This inaugural book bag and school supplies giveaway is designed for the children in the West Park community and surrounding areas. For more information, call Latoya Dean at 954-348-1923.

Charity Bridal Event
The Shops at Sunset

Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This event benefits Brides Against Breast Cancer, a fundraising organization of the Health Support Network. The Health Support Network provides free cancer-related programs and services to children, adults, families and caregivers. Hundreds of bridal gowns will be on display and for sale. The price range is $75 to $1,800.
