Instructions for making the same beanie worn by 'Baby Bosh'

For those who don't know, I love to crochet.

I made the little basketball beanie you’ve seen Baby Jackson Bosh sporting. Now you can make the same hat for a special newborn in your life.

These instructions are specifically for tiny infants - head size 12 inches.

Crochet Instruction

MATERIALS:

Cotton yarn in White, Orange and Black
Hook Size H

Stitches: ch, dc,hdc, sc, sl st

Difficulty: EASY

Row 1: (Start with orange) Ch5. 11 dc in 4th ch from hook. Join with sl st in top of beg ch4. (12dc)

Row 2: Ch1, sc in same space. 2sc in all other st. (24sc) Join with sl st in top of of ch 1. Cut yarn and finish off.

Row 3: (Switch to white) Sl st bet next 2sts. Ch2, dc in same sp. Dc bet next 2 sts. (2dc bet next 2 sts. Dc bet next 2 sts) around. (36dc) Join with sl st in top of beg ch2.

Row 4-6: Sl st in ch 2.  Ch2, dc in same sp. dc in each sts. (36dc) Join with sl st in top of beg ch2. Finish off

Row 7: (Switch to orange) Sl st in top of ch2. Ch 2, hdc in same space.  (36hdc) Join with sl st in top of beg ch2. Finish off

Basketball:

Row 1: Start with Orange cotton Ch5. 11 dc in 4th ch from hook. Join with sl st in top of beg ch4. (12dc)

Row 2: Ch1, sc in same space. 2sc in all other st. (24sc) Join with sl st in top of of ch 1. Cut yarn and finish off.

Stitch the ball to the front of the beanie.  Use the black yarn to stitch the deign of the basketball.
