Shelter to host 'Black Friday' adoption event
Broward County Animal Care will host the shelter’s very first “Pick Your Own Price” adoption promotion
Broward County Animal Care will host the shelter’s very first “Pick Your Own Price” adoption promotion on "Black Friday."
The event will be held on Nov. 23, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fort Lauderdale Adoption Center, 1870 S.W. 39th St.
The special "kennel buster" event will allow adopters to pay any amount they choose for their new pet — from adult dogs and cats, to younger kittens and puppies.
To add to the fun, adopters who bring in an Animal Care and Adoption "wish list" item to the shelter will get to spin the Animal Care Prize Wheel for the chance to win fun prizes, such as T-shirts and discount coupons.
The Animal Care and Adoption "wish list" items include:
- Bandanas
- Blankets
- Canned dog and cat food
- Dry dog and cat food (all sizes and varieties)
- Cat and dog toys
- Cat litter (non-clumping)
- Dog and cat treats
- Cotton fabric (lightweight, to make bandanas)
- Kuranda dog beds
- MNR (kitten milk replacement) formula
- Kitten bottles and nipples
- Newspaper
- Towels
