Sweetheart of a deal at Broward County Animal Care and Adoption

Love is in the air and Broward County Animal Care and Adoption is offering a sweet deal to adopters who will share their love with a dog or cat in need of a home.

Starting Thursday, February 14, and continuing through Sunday, February 17, Animal Care will be hosting a special “Find Your Love” adoption event.

During the 4-day Valentine’s weekend, adoption fees for dogs and cats at both Adoption Centers, 1870 S.W. 39 St. in Fort Lauderdale, and 3100 N.W. 19 Terrace in Pompano Beach, will be only $14.

All adoptions include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, Broward County pet registration tag and microchip — a value of more than $200.

"Pets are special in that they provide unconditional love and companionship,” said Lisa Mendheim, public education coordinator, Broward County Animal Care and Adoption. “We have wonderful pets that have so much love to give, we encourage the community to show their love by adopting a dog or cat during this special Valentine's event.”

Broward County Animal Care and Adoption is dedicated to providing shelter for lost and surrendered animals as well as the successful adoption of homeless pets. The agency also coordinates the registration of dogs and cats and provides rabies vaccinations to encourage a healthier pet population.
