There's a brand-new baby giraffe at Zoo Miami, and it had its first checkup Thursday morning.

The calf was born Monday to parents Mia and Fezzik.

Veterinarians examined the baby giraffe Thursday, giving it vaccinations and performing other procedures to keep it healthy.

The baby, a female, has not been named yet.

It is the 45th giraffe born at Zoo Miami.
