Who should be on your wedding guest list?

Deciding who to invite to your wedding can be a big decision. Once you find out how many people you can invite, then it's time to start selecting who you want at your big day.

Friends: Only invite friends who you still regularly communicate with. Just because someone was your childhood best friend – and you haven't talked to him or her in years -- doesn't mean you have to invite them to you wedding. Save the invites for people who you couldn't imagine not sharing your special day with.

Family: When deciding which relatives to invite, you should always include your immediate family, grandparents, aunts and uncles and first cousins. After that, try to create a rule – either all or none. If you start inviting second-cousins then you should invite all of your second-cousins.

Co-workers: Invite co-workers who you also see outside of work. When it comes to the rest of your department, don't pick and choose. Either invite everyone or no one. If you invite all of your co-workers, then you should also make sure to invite your boss. If you don't invite any co-workers, then you are not obligated to invite your boss.
