Walt Disney World wants to make your visit an easier and more enjoyable experience while keeping up with today's technological advances.
The "happiest place on earth" has begun testing a new wireless wristband that will allow guests to enter the parks without paper tickets, make purchases without a credit card and even enter their resort rooms without a key.
The "MyMagic+" program to be officially announced by spring and is designed to make your trip to the theme park a much more pleasant experience for you and your family, according to Tom Staggs, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts who made the announcement Monday.
"Over the past few years, we've devoted considerable time and resources to create a more immersive, more seamless and more personal experience for each and every guest who spends time with us," Staggs said in a statement. " I know there's been significant speculation about these efforts among our fans, so we're pleased to give you a glimpse into the work we are doing to take the entire Disney guest experience to the next level."
MyMagic+ will work in combination with a new website and app called "My Disney Experience." Guests will be able to preselect three FastPasses way before they even set foot at the theme park of their choice and even select V.I.P. seating for parades, fireworks and character meet-and-greets.
Want to get even more personal? If you opt to, you can provide personal information so that before you walk up to any meet-and-greet or special interactive rides, a sensor will read your band and that character or ride will greet you and your family personally.
Creepy or innovative?
