Man dies after suffering medical condition, crashing into Pembroke Pines canal

Sandy, Joan Rose die after Wednesday crash

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. ā€“ A man died Sunday, days after he crashed his 2004 Toyota Highlander into a canal in Pembroke Pines after suffering a medical condition, authorities said.

According to a traffic report, Sandy Rose, 63, of Miramar, was driving last Wednesday when he suffered a medical condition, lost control of the SUV while driving in a parking lot and crashed into the canal.

Three witnesses and police officers tried to rescue the couple from the vehicle, but were unable to do so.

A Pembroke Pines dive team eventually pulled them from the water.

Joan Rose, 61, was pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital Miramar.

Sandy Rose was listed in critical condition at the hospital and died Sunday night.
