Miccosukee releases driving instructions for Labor Day concert

Miccosukee Police Department releases suggested routes to tribe territory

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. ā€“ The MiccosukeeĀ Tribe of Indians of Florida is hosting a reggaeton concert Ā on Sunday at the reservation off the Tamiami Trail and Krome Avenue.

Tribal police officers expect heavy traffic.Ā

Cuban WISINĀ El Sobreviviente and Puerto Rican Jacob Forever are set to perform at 6 p.m. at the MiccosukeeĀ Resort & Gaming's outdoor area, 500 SW 177 Ave.Ā 

Gilbert Zepeda, the tribe's director of advertising, promotions and development, released a statement on behalf of the Miccosukee Police Department with traffic directions for the event.Ā 

"Please adhere to the following advise," the press release says.Ā 

Concert goers coming from Pembroke Pines, Miramar or Hialeah, should take Krome Avenue southbound. Visitors from Kendall, Homestead or the Florida Keys should travel northbound on Krome Avenue. Drivers choosing to take the Florida Turnpike should travel westbound on Eighth Street.Ā 

General admission is $65 and "meet and greet" tickets are $200 per person. Ā
