FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A Fort Lauderdale police officer who was riding his motorcycle Monday afternoon was struck by a driver, authorities said.
The crash was reported about 2:30 p.m. in the area of A1A and Hall of Fame Drive.

A Fort Lauderdale police representative said the driver was pulling out and struck the officer.
The officer suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital as a precaution.
It's unclear whether the driver will be cited.
