FEMA denies aid for Sandy damage in Florida
State has 30 days to appeal decision

FEMA denied Florida Gov. Rick Scott's request for a federal aid for parts of Florida damaged by Hurricane Sandy.
In a letter written to Scott, FEMA stated: "Based on our review of all of the information available, it has been determined that the damage to the infrastructure from this event was not of such severity and magnitude as to be beyond the capabilities of state and affected local governments."
