A photo released by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration showed the path of hurricane hunters that flew through Isaac.
The photo used Google Earth to show the path of NOAA and Air Force flights into Isaac since it was a tropical depression to the time it made landfall in Louisiana.
The wind barbs along the flight tracks were color-coded to indicate speed, going from blue to orange for higher velocities, said NOAA.
Each white circle represents where the center of Isaac was at a given time.
