On this date, how would you like to be in a city that receives over 60 consecutive days of 100 degree heat? Well, the citizens of Phoenix, AZ suffered through the 62th day of plus 100 degree heat on this date in 1989. Ironically, on the same day, 40 other national cities reported record lows.
