MIAMI -

On this date, Barrow, AK is located at the most northern point of Alaska. Knowing this, it would be easy to assume that the town experiences very intense winters. Yet, on this date in 1982, the town registered a record high for the month of 36 degrees. This is the only February day the temperature rose above freezing.
