Thursday PM Weather

MIAMI -

5:45PMShowers continue to move on shore in Miami-Dade county with a northeast wind between 10-15 mph.  Cloudy skies will continue with a 40% chance of showers.  Tonight expect patch fog to develop out west after midnight.  Temperatures will bottom out around 70°

12:05PM Happy Thursday. Some of you are getting wet and others are remaining dry this afternoon. Scattered showers continue to affect the east side of the Metro areas of both Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Heavy rain is moving into Miami Beach as of 12:05PM but the remainder of Miami-Dade remains dry. Expect rain chances to go up tonight and into Saturday as another cold front approaches.

6:27 AM  Good Morning! There is the possiblity of some patchy fog this morning but as of 6:30 we don't have any reports of dense fog causing problems for the commute. Temperatures are in the upper 60s to lower 70s across SFL.  There are a few showers on the radar but I don't expect a wet day ahead. The rain chance today is only 20%. but will be going up into the weekend. Clouds will be sticking around again though so today won't be the best day to head to the beach.

The stationary front to the south will meander around and eventually fizzle out which opens the door for a cold front to approach SFL by Saturday morning. This front brings a lot of rain into the forecast Saturday but Sunday we could see cooler temps. Into next week more sunshine is on the way and a calmer and drier pattern shaping up. Have a great Thursday.

After gloomy Wednesday across South Florida we will start Thursday with patchy fog, mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the upper 60s.  Expect the clouds to stick around throughout the day with highs in the upper 70s.

A stationary front over the Florida Keys will remain locked in place on Thursday before beginning to slowly move north on Friday and situate itself over Central Florida by Friday night.  This is important because a weak low will be riding along this front and bring more moisture and a higher chance of rain for Central Florida instead of South Florida.  Our rain chance will be 20-30% on Thursday and Friday.

Looking ahead to the weekend our rain chance goes up to 50-60% on Saturday as a low pressure area and cold front push through.  Looks like Sunday the front will be to our south will a strong area of high pressure building in so that means partly cloudy skies and breezy weather for the end of the weekend and the start of next week.
