Tropical Storm Ernesto brings torrential rain, flooding to Mexico
Tropical storm warnings still in effect from Veracruz to Chilitepec

Tropical Storm Ernesto was bringing torrential rains and flooding as it hung near the coast of Mexico, said the National Hurricane Center.
In the NHC's 11 p.m. advisory on Thursday, Ernesto was about 85 miles south-southwest of Veracruz, Mexico, with maximum sustained winds of 60 mph. It was moving west at 14 mph.
Ernesto was expected to continue moving west over the next 48 hours. Weakening is forecast during that time.
The following tropical storm warnings are in effect:
- Veracruz to Chilitepec, Mexico.
