HIALEAH, Fla. – The roof of a Hialeah porch wound up in a neighbor's yard after some heavy thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon.
Local 10's Glenna Milberg spoke to a woman whose porch used to be covered. She was convinced it was a tornado that tore off the roof.
"I ran out towards the living room, looked towards the lake and I noticed I had no roof," she said.
The National Weather Service said the damage in Hialeah was likely caused by strong wind gusts and not a tornado.
Elsewhere in South Florida, extreme flooding was reported in Pembroke Pines and Aventura.
