- ...Light snow and blowing snow possible late Sunday into Monday... A low pressure system will spread areas of light mixed precipitation into the region later tonight into Sunday morning....which could lead to slick roadways. Much colder air will filter southward behind the system...with light snow or snow showers overspreading the region by Sunday evening. Northerly winds will increase by Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening...gusting to over 45 mph at times into early Monday. There is the potential for an inch of snow in the northern valley...perhaps up to 2 inches near the Canadian border. Lesser amounts are expected farther south. For areas that receive snowfall...blowing snow will result in areas of reduced visibility...especially in open areas...for Sunday night through the Monday morning commute. Please stay tuned for the latest forecasts and statements...especially if you have travel planned over eastern North Dakota or northwestern Minnesota late Sunday into Monday.
