Gabrielle no longer tropical cyclone

NHC: Remnants to bring 2 to 4 inches of rain to coastal Canada

MIAMI – Gabrielle was no longer a tropical cyclone Friday evening, and its remnants were bringing heavy rain to coastal Canada.

At 5 p.m., Gabrielle was 180 miles south of Halifax, Nova Scotia, with maximum sustained winds of 35 mph. It was moving north-northeast at 35 mph.

Forecasters expected the remnants of Gabrielle to continue heading north-northeast during the next day or so. It was expected to bring two to four inches of rain to coastal Canada.
