NEPTUNE TOWNSHIP, N.J. - New Jersey police officers said they recently found a lost pet pig wandering near a local Dunkin' Donuts and named it "Pork Roll."

The Associated Press reported Neptune Township police received a call over the Memorial Day weekend about a pig wandering around the doughnuts and coffee restaurant.

The department joked that an officer was able to "catch the well-fed hog and take him into custody for questioning and to provide him with a job application as our new mascot."

Pork Roll was eventually transferred to the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Officials said Pork Roll was later reunited with his owner.
