By Peter Burke - Local10.com Managing Editor

This is your one-stop shop for all the weekend's happenings, including concerts, movies and sporting events throughout South Florida.

Music

Kansas is coming to Pembroke Pines. No, not the state, but the band.

The rock group, best known for its songs "Carry On Wayward Son" and "Dust in the Wind," will perform at the Charles F. Dodge City Center this Friday at 8 p.m. as part of its 40th anniversary tour.

Tickets start at $40.

98 Degrees is turning up the heat this weekend with two stops in South Florida to promote their new Christmas album. The first is Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Magic City Casino in Miami.

Lead singer Nick Lachey and the rest of the grown boys will take the short trip north on I-95 the next evening for a performance in West Palm Beach. They'll be at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts at 8 p.m. Sunday.

Talk about a rapper's delight in Miami. The New York rap group Wu-Tang Clan will be there to celebrate Art Basel weekend with a performance at Mana Wynwood this Saturday at 9 p.m. Tickets range from $65 to $115.

Movies

Morgan Freeman, Tommy Lee Jones and Rene Russo star in the new action comedy "Just Getting Started," about a former FBI agent who must put aside his personal feud with a former mob lawyer at a retirement home when the mafia comes to kill them.

The late Glenne Headly, who died in June, co-stars.

Margot Robbie stars as figure skater Tonya Harding in the black comedy "I, Tonya." Robbie is getting plenty of early Oscar buzz for her role in the film, which chronicles the 1994 attack on Nancy Kerrigan.

Sports

An avalanche is coming to Sunrise. Actually, it's just the Colorado Avalanche. They'll take on the Florida Panthers this Saturday at 7 p.m.

The Panthers (10-13), in second-to-last place in the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division, will be playing without star goalie Roberto Luongo, who was injured Monday against the New York Islanders.

Entertainment

It's Art Basel weekend in Miami Beach. We've got everything you need to know before you go.

The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade will navigate the waters of Broward County once again this Saturday night. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Fort Lauderdale and will travel 12 miles north along the Intracoastal Waterway to Pompano Beach.

Water Taxi

The Water Taxi of Fort Lauderdale is offering daily evening "Holiday Lights" cruises along the Intracoastal Waterway.

If you can't take part in the parade, you can still check out all the Christmas cheer along the Intracoastal Waterway on the evening Water Taxi "Holiday Lights" cruises.

Sunday's cruise departs from the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children under 12.
