Samantha Bryant joined the Local 10 News Team in February 2018.
Before becoming an official on-air reporter, Samantha Bryant was a Local 10 intern for three years. Far from a normal internship, Samantha started working on-air with Local 10 in 2016, covering stories for "My Future My Choice" and local follows on the Orlando nightclub massacre.
She was born and raised in Miami Gardens and is extremely grateful for the opportunity to cover stories in her local communities.
"I loved watching this station growing up and look forward to telling stories across South Florida," she said. "It is my goal to bring equal coverage to all communities, especially those often underrepresented."
She is an alumna of Norland Middle School and New World School of the Arts, where she pursued theater. She received her Bachelor of Science in mass communication from the University of South Florida.
While balancing school, Samantha interned with WFLA and Fox 13 in Tampa. She also covered the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janiero with NBC Universal.
Samantha is a fellow of the Emma Bowen Foundation and member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
She has a consistent desire to mentor and give back to the city that raised her. Meeting new people and consistently learning are high priorities on Samantha's list.
In her spare time, you can catch her at community events, poetry spots, working some calisthenics or getting lost in a good book.
