Victor Oquendo


A master of all trades both on-screen and off, Victor Oquendo joined the Local 10 News team in January 2010.

During his time with Local 10, Victor has covered some of the biggest stories in South Florida, from elections to the Miami Heat's back-to-back NBA championship runs.

Victor is currently the anchor of Local 10's 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. newscasts.

Born and raised in Coral Gables, Victor is honored to be on the inside of the news operation he grew up watching.

He received his bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Miami.

While in college, Victor interned for the CBS Early Show and the CBS Evening News. He also anchored UM's Emmy Award-winning weekly newscast "Newsvision." He's an active member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.

In his free time, you can find him on the golf course or running around the Brickell area.
