Be part of finding a cure for cancer. The Relay for Life of North Miami is looking for participants to join the cause and the fund raising team. The American Cancer Society Relay for Life unites communities across the globe to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones and take action to finish the fight against the deadly disease.

Bayfest Music Festival

Florida International University, Biscayne Bay Campus

North Miami, FL

Time: 3 p.m. to 12 a.m.   

Bayfest is FIU's Biscayne Bay Campus' premiere music festival, featuring big names in hip-hop, reggae, kompa and bachata. The entertainers include Migos, T-Vice and Bachamambo.  The event is open to FIU students, staff and the public. It will also feature food trucks and novelties.

Cost:  Ticket prices start at $15 for students and $30 for general public, but vary on purchase date.

Feed A Horse Campaign

Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Feed A Horse Campaign is an attempt to reach out to the community to help raise funds to feed the rescue horses at Peaceful Ridge Rescue in Davie. Peaceful Ridge Rescue is a nonprofit horse rescue facility with a mission to find a home for every horse. This special event will feature food, a sidewalk sale and much more.

The Blue Wild–Ocean Adventure Expo

Redland Blues & BBQ Festival

This sixth annual festival features award-winning BBQ and incredible blues and country music. There will also be children's activities, including pony rides.

Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church Concert Series

Time: 4 p.m.

Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church invites music lovers of all ages and preferences to its 2015-16 concert series featuring musicians in a variety of genres, from classical to jazz and everything in between. On Sunday, April 3, you can enjoy a piano concert by Luke Ferraguti and Thomas Ridgway. On Sunday, April 24, the Florida Singing Sons Boychoir will delight attendees. Both events take place inside the church's sanctuary. 

Cost: Ticket prices range from $5 to $25.

Miami International Jazz Fest

The third edition of The Miami International Jazz Fest features a lineup of jazz stars who will surely please attendees with their styles, talent and grace. Cubop, straight ahead, Latin jazz and jazz fusion will all be part of the musical menu during three nights of sensational sounds, which coincide with the world-wide celebration on International Jazz Day.
