Volunteers clean up Fort Lauderdale beach ahead of Tortuga Music Festival

Hundreds of pounds of debris removed

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Volunteers took to the beach to clean up debris on Saturday ahead of the fifth annual Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale.

This was the second of three clean-ups scheduled before the festival.

Organizers said more than 100 pounds of garbage was collected at the first clean-up in Pompano Beach.

The environment clean-up parties are organized by HUKA Entertainment, in partnership with Tito's Handmade Vodka.

The next clean-up is scheduled for March 25 in Jupiter.
