These back-to-back events offer free family-friendly entertainment every Friday in September.  Bring lawn seating or a blanket to relax when catching a movie.  Featured movies are:  McFarland USA (9/1), The Little Mermaid (9/8), You’ve Got Mail (9/15), Inside Out (9/22) and Ghostbusters 2 (9/29).

South Florida is invited to cool off and join the fun at Florida Power & Light Company’s Cooling Station at the Museum Plaza of the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science. 

Guests will take a moment to “chill” out by walking into a larger-than-life ice cube that refreshes with music and a cold blast of liquid nitrogen, along with a video souvenir of their experience.

The Adrienne Arsht Center kicks off the 2017-2018 season of its popular concert series Free Gospel Sundays with gospel superstar, Cece Winans. The Grammy-Award winning artist and recipient of seven Stellar Gospel Music Awards will bring audiences to their feet as she performs hits from her daring 2017 album, Let Them Fall In Love.

Cost: Free. However, First-Access Passes are required. First-Access Passes for the September 17 performance featuring Cece Winans will be available beginning September 6 at 10 a.m.

Beach Cleanup

Time: 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.

To commemorate Miami Seaquarium’s 62nd anniversary, the park is calling on volunteers to be ‘Reef Rangers’ for a day and join in a beach-cleanup.  Reef Ranger’ volunteers will spend the morning collecting litter and debris, which contaminates beaches and injures wildlife.  Then, as a special thank you, beach clean-up participants will receive free admission to Miami Seaquarium for the day.
