PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – Local 10 News' annual Day of Giving was a team effort with Publix Super Markets to collect non-perishable foods and new unwrapped toys on Friday.
Jean Stefanick was at the Publix Super Market in Miami Shores on and dropped off a donation.
"I have a wonderful life; I just want to share it," Stefanick said.
Eight-year-old Alexis chose to donate food, and she was wise beyond her years.
"The more we help the world; the more better the world can be," Alexis said.
Last year, Local 10 News viewers donated 15,000 pounds of food, hundreds of toys and thousands of dollars in donations to nonprofits serving the homeless and needy in our community.
