Thursday Night Food Truck Round-Up

Rickenbacker Causeway - Across MAST Academy & Miami Marine Stadium

Time: 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Starting Thursday, Jan. 5, the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces department and Rickenbacker Causeway Park Operations will premiere the new "Thursday Night Food Truck Round-Up." Guests will enjoy a wide variety of culinary treats served up by popular gourmet food truck vendors, along with picturesque views of Biscayne Bay.

Note: The event will be held every Thursday (weather permitting), with the exception of these block out dates: Feb. 16 (Progressive Miami International Boat Show and Strictly Sail) and March 23 & 30 (Miami Open Tennis Tournament).

Starting Friday, Jan. 6, visitors can enjoy the fun of healthy living at this family-style event, featuring fresh locally grown produce for purchase, a live DJ pop-up dance party, a bounce house for the kids, and more.

Cost: Free parking will be provided at the marina. Vendor food costs vary.

The community is welcome to explore the wonders in the sky through the lens of powerful telescopes at the Buehler Observatory. Let Susan Barnett, Buehler Planetarium and Observatory director, and other experts guide you in locating the moon, stars and nebulae (weather permitting).

The Potters' Guild Invitational is an accumulation of ceramic works by one of the most excellent groups of clay artists in South Florida. The artists of the Broward College Potters’ Guild share a studio space, as well as creative ideas and techniques, and this relationship results in fantastic clay works, both functional and sculptural. This year's show is juried by Chad Steve, resident artist at the Armory Art Center.

Give Back at the Track

This two-part event offers participants the opportunity to take laps around the track ( 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.) and engage their street legal cars in head-to-head drag races ( 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.).  Proceeds from the event will benefit Homestead-Miami Speedway’s charitable outreach program, Driving for a Cause.  Farm Share will also be on site accepting nonperishable food items.

Bark at the Park – Miami Marlins
