MIAMI – A unique breast cancer awareness event is being held Saturday and members of the Local 10 News and ABC News teams are taking part.
Weather Authority meteorologist Julie Durda and traffic anchor Constance Jones will be joined by Good Morning America chief meteorologist Ginger Zee at Standup for a Cure at the Miami Yacht Club, a standup paddling event.
The event has been held for several years in Newport Beach, California, but this will be the first time it is held in Miami. Proceeds will benefit the Miami/Fort Lauderdale affiliate of Susan G. Komen.
Participants can receive standup paddling lessons from experts, take part in raffles and silent auctions, and visit a health expo complete with free screenings for breast cancer and melanoma.
