Santa is running on schedule, NORAD trackers say

Santa trackers offer fun geography lesson for children

MIAMI – It has never been this easy to get children to learn geography. Just get them to spend their Saturday tracking Santa Claus' journey to South Florida.

Children waiting for their gifts from the North Pole can check Santa's status on the North American Aerospace Defense Command website and get detailed reports from the Google Santa Tracker in partnership with National Geographic.

The tracking command center reported they are using their latest technology -- military satellites, radar systems, optical sensors and fighter jets. Google also has the cutest behind-the-scene videos and an interactive North Pole village graphic for the little ones.

NORAD trackers are taking children's phone calls at 1-877-446-6723 and social media questions with "#NORADTracksSanta."
