Orange County to discuss standardized testing

School board members to hold work session

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County is the latest school district to take up the issue of standardized testing.

The school board will hold a work session at 4 p.m. Thursday to figure out how to move forward this school year.

Florida's new standardized tests have come under fire in recent months because of computer glitches and concerns that the new test is too difficult.

Seminole County is pushing to get rid of the test all together and use the SAT instead.
