Andrew Wernicke has been battling brain cancer since he was 11. The Wisconsin high school senior's latest round of treatments were going to keep him from his graduation ceremony.
But Brookfield Central High School didn't let that happen.

Teachers and students united Thursday to host a special ceremony, just for Wernicke, WTMJ reported. It was his last day of school before he had to travel to Georgia for additional treatments.
"I feel really great," he told WTMJ. "Everyone that could be here for my graduation just means so much to me."
After finding out about Wernicke's situation, the school's principal joined several other staff members Wednesday night to organize the program, complete with a choir and the other seniors in their caps and gowns
"As adults and fellow classmates, we can learn a lot about how to handle adversity through Andrew," principal Brett Gruetzmacher told WTMJ. "He comes to school when he is not feeling well at all, he comes to school when he's in pain and he just tries to do the best he can."
Wernicke said his family, friends and classmates have kept him going.
"They've helped me and supported me through all of this," he told WTMJ. "If I didn't have them, I don't know where I'd be right now."
