Caribbean art & music to fill Fort Lauderdale's Riverfront

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Fort Lauderdale's Riverfront will come alive with Caribbean art and music at the first-ever Caribe Arts Fest on Sept. 28-30.

The 3-day, free community event is centered around the theme, "Celebrate the Caribbean in you!"

It will feature a display of the latest trends in Caribbean painting, photography, sculpture, performance arts, film and food.

"Caribe Arts Fest aims to be a special affair showcasing some of the hidden treasures of the Caribbean," said David Muir, CEO for American Arts Initiative.  "The diverse community of South Florida will surely be able to appreciate this celebration through the arts."
