MIAMI – Miami's Urban Film Festival brings five days of events to promote local talent on Labor Day Weekend.
The event kicked off with a party at the historic Lyric Theater, 819 NW 2nd Ave., in Miami's Overtown on Thursday. And the opening night film, Fade Away, screened at the theater on Friday night.
The festival's red carpet events, film screenings and Monday's award ceremony are at the Lyric Theater.
A Miami Love Story, a film about the cultural divide among Haitians and Dominicans in Miami, will be showing on 7 p.m., Saturday and Love and Reality, a film about a reality television show, will be showing at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
